James is an accountant with over 17 years’ experience in the finance industry. His current focus is on the continued development of Crestbridge’s group Management Company Services business line, with a specialisation in economic substance requirements plus onshore and offshore regulatory fund environments.
James holds a number of board positions for regulated alternative asset managers in Jersey, in addition to performing risk management roles. He is comfortable with closed and open-ended strategies across a range of asset classes, allowing him to support standard and bespoke arrangements for our asset manager clients across our network of Crestbridge offices.
Prior to Crestbridge, James worked at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for regulatory and financial control across multiple jurisdictions. This included risk monitoring, management and reporting; board commentary on performance and trend analysis; management and financial accounting. Before this, James held roles with HSBC private bank and BDO Jersey which covered a number of accounting and project positions for key clients. He has also held accounting and administration positions with a Jersey headquartered asset management firm and fiduciary services group.
In addition to being a Fellow of ACCA, James has been awarded a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Professional Accountancy by the University of London, is a full member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (MCSI) and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certificate in fundamentals of alternative investment.
