John Harris assumes senior role at Crestbridge
Crestbridge has announced that the former Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), John Harris, will join the Group in the New Year.
After 12 years at the JFSC, John will join as non-executive Chairman of the Crestbridge Group from 1 January 2019. This newly created role reflects the significant success and growth of the Group, which now employs over 280 staff across its offices in Bahrain, the Cayman Islands, Jersey, London and Luxembourg.
Bringing extensive private and public sector experience in international financial services institutions to the role, John will join Crestbridge as one of a small number of professional and non-executive director commitments following his retirement from the JFSC earlier in the year.
John is a regular and highly-regarded speaker and contributor to conferences and the wider financial services debate, including the global role of international finance centres (IFCs). Prior to his position at the JFSC, he was Director – International Finance for the Government of Jersey with responsibility for all aspects of policy on the enhancement of Jersey’s position as an IFC. His earlier career was spent with Natwest Bank where he held a number of global management positions in the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nassau and the Channel Islands.
