Findings of AIFMD study to be released at Crestbridge event
Following on from the AIFMD implementation deadline on 22 July, the research, which has been compiled by IFI Global and sponsored by Crestbridge, is intended to highlight some of the key domiciliation issues and initial trends which the AIFMD has brought to the European funds market, including:
Daniela Klasen-Martin, Managing Director of Crestbridge in Luxembourg, will provide a welcome at the event, which will take place on 2nd October 2014 at the Abbaye De Neumunster.
An overview of the research will then be given by Simon Osborn, Managing Director of IFI Global, before a panel, overseen by an independent moderator and featuring senior players in the European funds landscape, will then debate the findings and answer questions from the audience, followed by a drinks reception.
Daniela Klasen-Martin, Managing Director, Crestbridge, Luxembourg, said:
“There was much talk in the build up to the 22 July deadline about how the new rules brought about by the AIFMD would impact managers of alternative investment funds. Based on rigorous analysis, this latest piece of work provides us with an up-to-date picture of how the AIFMD is bedding down, how alternative fund managers are approaching the new rules and what the initial domiciliation trends are in the European landscape. It should be a hugely valuable forum to discuss these findings and provide some foresight into how the AIFMD will pan out over the coming months for a range of domiciles.”
