Crestbridge fundraising for local charities tops £65k thanks to staff efforts

As part of the company’s commitment to engaging with the local community, each year staff at Crestbridge choose one local charity to support. In 2013, staff nominated ‘Help a Jersey Child’ (HAJC) as their beneficiary charity, raising over £18,000 to support its work.

The funds were raised for HAJC by staff through a range of fundraising efforts, including cake sales, raffles, themed events and the sale of old office computers.

HAJC seeks to support individuals or groups of disadvantaged children or young people in Jersey who might not otherwise be eligible for support from other charities or government support groups. It also works with groups or charities on specific local projects, and helps other suitable Jersey charities who need additional funding.

This successful 2013 builds on the funds raised during the previous two years, when employees succeeded in raising over £20,000 each year for their nominated charities, the Teenage Cancer Trust in 2011 and the Special Care Baby Unit at the Jersey General Hospital in 2012, bringing the total amount raised over the past three years to over £65,000.
