Crestbridge at forefront of AIFMD developments

The Crestbridge rebranding event included an interactive panel discussion with speakers from top law firms who provided perspectives from France, Germany, UK and Luxembourg on international regulatory developments and operational aspects of the AIFMD. 

Daniela Klasén-Martin, Managing Director and Country Head of Crestbridge Luxembourg, commented, "As you can see from the large numbers of fund managers and other service providers here today, dealing with the day-to-day consequences of this new wave of regulation has become the primary concern for many within the industry. The discussion raised pertinent issues and prompted informed analysis from the panel, including how both the market and the regulators are responding to the AIFMD, regulator’s views on reverse solicitation, the challenges in creating a dual ManCo and whether Asia will become an increasingly appealing destination for non-EU managers in light of the new regulations.

Following the panel, guests were welcomed with a reception with a cocktail dinner, which presented an opportunity to network in a convivial atmosphere as well to enjoy artwork by Ben Carter, a well-known British artist residing in Luxembourg.
